A joint research program, GMaRE aims to conduct marine research and education on the Galapagos Islands in order to support its long term preservation.

 

Our Mission

Conduct research of excellence to allow appropriate, knowledge based, decision making that ensures long term conservation of the Galapagos islands.

An strong focus on the formation of young scientist and professionals will ensure the future preservation of Galapagos and the further development of ocean sciences.

What We've Achieved

  • Signing of a cooperation agreement between the Charles Darwin Foundation and the Escuela Superior Politécnica del litoral.

  • Start of the Galapagos Ocean Acidification Monitoring program.
